Tobacco is a dangerous substance that is legal but should it be legal? I think it shouldn't be because it cause dangerous diseases such as lung cancer and emphysema. Studies indicate that nonsmokers are also in danger of environmental tobacco smoke. There are 4000 chemicals in tobacco with 100 identified poisons and 63 known drugs which cause cancer. The most talked about drug in tobacco is nicotine. Nicotine is vasoconstrictor and a nerve toxin, it has been classified as a class I insecticide. Other poisons include: Arsenic, Cyanide, Formaldehyde (used to embalm bodies), Ammonia Bromide (a toilet cleaner )- Ref. 1. Each year, because of exposure to environmental tobacco smoke, an estimated 3,000 nonsmoking Americans die of lung cancer, and 300,000 children suffer from lower respiratory tract infections. If someone smokes two packs a day they spend an average of 1800 dollars smoking is a bad habbit and it is dangerous.

Teens feel pressure to have sex from there partners, television, billboards, music and their peers but what else effects their decisions? Drugs play a big role in teen sex because they impair judgment. Being active in your decision making is the smartest way to avoid being put in bad situations, letting some one talk you into a situation or letting someone make decisions for you is not a good thing.

Drugs legalization? No way jose

Legalizing drugs in the United States is a ludicrous idea. Drugs are not a good thing it leads to poverty, death and abandonment. Some people argue That "well if it is legal no one will over use because of regulations" that is an ignorant view because if they over use it now when it is illegal they will over use it when it is legal.

Oh Dear it is Soy!!!!

It seems that in the past five years soy has come into the spot light and is almost considered the food of the gods, but is soy realy as good as we are told. One positive thing about soy that it contains many enzymes and can reduce the risk of heart disease. althougth there are many positives with soya big negative is that it contains a potent enzyme blocker that inhibits the body's process of breaking down protien. Soy also contains hemagglutinin which is a clot promoting substance and a groth depresent. Hemagglutinin can be deactivated if the soy beans are fermented, but in common soy products like tofu, hemagglutinin is still active.

Industrialized Farming?

The farming industry has revolutionized over the years this has benefits and negative results. One of the effects is the use of hormones in livestock this may cause rapid growth and development. but it also cause a drop in quality in all of these products. In crops new fertilizer was developed that causes rapid production and increase in size but this fertilizer can also runoff and cause pollution to water sources. The farm industry has changed over the years is it positive or negative or make the choice.

Bullying is considered one of the major problems in our school district this year. The "Halt" program was established to help us prevent bullying and ways to solve it if it is occurring. One of the resolution "Halt" stresses is if you see it occurring do not laugh and try to step in to stop the bully this resolution is effective because if the bully sees that no one finds one what he is doing funny they might stop. Stepping in is also an effective resolution because if you stop to help the victim the bully may stop because it is two versus one.

Decision making is a very important skill that helps establish your character and the way people see you. There are several decision making models that can be used to help you establish good decision making skills, three examples of these models are G.R.E.A.T, PLUS, and the Decision Making Model created by the Team Handbook, all three models have the same basic concepts but there are small differences, PLUS and G.R.E.A.T are exactly the same on every aspect but the Team Handbook model has some differences. Team Handbook model puts emphasis on communicating implementing the decision you have made. all of these models are effective if carried out the right way.
