Creatine is a natural amino acid found in muscle tissue, up to 115 grams of creatine is found in the human body at one time. Creatine is mainly developed in the liver. Phosphocreatine is used to to convert ADP into ATP.When you lift weights the ATP in your muscles is broken down to ADP which causes fatigue the reason why Creatine is so effective is that the ADP released while lifting weights is rapidly converted back into ATP which allows you to push out that extra rep creatine also allows you to do the same amount of reps you would normally do with a higher weight. While taking creatine it is not uncommon for people to gain 10 pounds their first week of use because of the rapid absorption of fluid into muscle cells which allows you to lift more weight.Monday, January 26, 2009

I found this to be very interesting. I always wondered how creatine works. Is the 10 pounds you gain all fat or some muscle?
