Decision making is a very important skill that helps establish your character and the way people see you. There are several decision making models that can be used to help you establish good decision making skills, three examples of these models are G.R.E.A.T, PLUS, and the Decision Making Model created by the Team Handbook, all three models have the same basic concepts but there are small differences, PLUS and G.R.E.A.T are exactly the same on every aspect but the Team Handbook model has some differences. Team Handbook model puts emphasis on communicating implementing the decision you have made. all of these models are effective if carried out the right way.
I agree that all three are effective. It is possible to make a good decision utilizing any of the problem solving-models, thus making each one of them equally effective.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Devin that they are effective and another unique one grant with the Team Handbook model. Also nice use of a picture in your blog.
ReplyDeleteThe picture was nice. Having a visual is helpful from all these just word blogs. Pretty much any model is effective if used the right way, but you picked three that are very general and can be used for mostly everything. Nice blog.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the visual. It really helped to visualize the steps of a decision making model more clearly and detailed. I agree with Peter that you models were quite basic and straightforward, which in most cases is the way to go. Great job.
ReplyDeleteYou made good comparisons between the models. I liked the picture too. Its good that you were straightforwad with your opinions and information. I enjoyed reading your blog...lol
ReplyDeleteNice work Grant! Your information was a bit opinionated, but it "opened my eyes" to a different way of thinking. You also have the two best visuals so far. I like the creatine picture btw...
ReplyDeleteI think that implementing the decision that you make is important because if you make a decision and newer follow through with is then what is the point of making the decision in the first place. Nice Visual!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very sensible way to solve anyone's problems. This is different than anyone else's blog ive seen because you have a visual to go along with your information, so it makes it more likable. Goood job (:
